Baby Mine
As promised, look what I found at my mom’s tonight! XD
I spent the first day of the new year at the Museum of the Moving Image in my ‘hood (Astoria, NY) and I highly recommend taking the quick train ride out of Manhattan for a visit. Right now there’s a great Jim Henson exhibit, as well as permanent exhibits that encompass cameras, lighting, sound, costumes, actors, make-up, special FX. Basically every aspect of the film and TV business is covered. Plus, every day there are different screenings of films in their theater and they are included in the price of admission ($12 for adults). Today I saw one of my favorite films, The Prestige, on the big screen for the first time.
Afterward I also went and saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo at the regular movie theater around the corner.
Starting the new year immersed in the world of moving pictures was an excellent choice.
To go along with that last post, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone in my life who made 2011 the fantastic year that it was. Yes, I did a lot and had so many wonderful experiences, but it wasn’t the events that made them such, it was the people I was with.

If my life were a movie, this is the part where this song would be played over a montage of me crying as I walk past NYC landmarks.
(P.S. Don’t worry, it would be a comedy so it would be hilarious ugly crying and you’d be allowed to laugh.)
Also, in related news, I have a new job.
Pamagotchi and I at the Fall Formal After-After Party
(Which for her I believe was the after-after-after party. )
We were talking about the chair cuddling earlier today so it reminded me about this awesome picture that amysz took. I wish I had pictures like this with all the HitRECorders that were at the formal! Everyone looked so beautious.
Come back to the U.S. soon, Pam! :)
HitRECorder adhgraphicdesign caught this nice pic of RegularJOE dancing with me at the Fall Formal.
Such a lovely and unexpected thing to happen, and luckily I didn’t fall over myself. :)
“I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon” by ME!!!
So I started ukulele classes on Monday. As in, just under a week ago. And I am in love! Seriously, I’ve had one lesson and I can play full songs. FULL SONGS! That is amazing. So I’ve been searching the web for songs to learn to play and here’s one of them. Don’t mind my less than stellar voice and some of the awkward pauses, I’m just too excited not to share. :D
Hi followers! I just wanted to let you all know that I recently started a new Tumblr to blog about and reblog interesting and creative advertising, marketing, and social media campaigns that I come across. If you have an interest in those things (or just like clever ads, or just like me), please Follow and pass along! :)
Thanks!

I imported my family’s old super 8 home movies to my laptop tonight. Thought this little tidbit was pretty precious and classy. Cheers!
