To go along with that last post, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone in my life who made 2011 the fantastic year that it was. Yes, I did a lot and had so many wonderful experiences, but it wasn’t the events that made them such, it was the people I was with.
My friends got married outside Boston last weekend and they had a photobooth at their reception (which is pretty much the best idea ever). This is me with some of my dancer girls from back home who are all clearly awesome. The one in the butterfly mask (Kelly) is my oldest friend. We grew up around the corner from each other and were in the same playgroup as babies!
This makes four fathers (including mine) and two mothers. Most have been within my close group of college friends. All have been before we turn 30.
My first reaction is that this seems unfair and statistically kind of ridiculous, but then I think, maybe there’s a reason we all became friends.
And you might see that as trying to apply reason to something that has none. However, even if it’s just a cosmic coincidence we’re all in each others lives, I think we’re lucky to have one another.

This one’s for all my EC CLR girls. As long as there are sturdy chairs and this song in the world, we’ll never really be apart.
I hear you call my name
And it feels like home.
American Idol Season 9 Contestant #1
For those of you who do not watch American Idol (this includes me on normal occasions), this is a video of the first contestant seen on the premiere last night. For those of you who do not know me personally, this is also a video of one of my good friends from college. It is amazing. She called Kara, Paula and swore repeatedly on national TV, all in a bright pink tank top with her muffin top hanging out.
Janet, I salute you for you the commitment it took to pull this whole thing off. You’re the best reality star to come out of our little college since whatshisface got calf implants on True Life and then went into gay porn (and at least you didn’t wear a sweatshirt with the college logo on it and act like a complete Dbag the whole time). Oh, and don’t worry, we all still love you. How could we not? You’re wicked awesome! (Unless you go into gay porn and then you’re on your own.)
Me with my “niece” Meredith! Isn’t she the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!? She learned to walk at a mini-reunion I had with my college girls this past weekend.
